1920 - 2016
Dorothy Marie Bolton Graham was born on May 13, 1920, in Detroit, Texas, and departed this life on Sunday, August 7, 2016, in Meeker, Oklahoma, at the age of 96.Marie, the daughter of Tom and Rena Woods Bolton, was a resident of Meeker.Marie was a longtime member of Meeker First Baptist Church.She enjoyed grocery shopping and was a wonderful cook particularly chocolate pie. She also enjoyed playing dominoes and eating peaches. While she enjoyed these things, she loved spending time with her family. Nothing beat sitting around the dinner table visiting with her family.Marie's parents; three brothers, Travis Bolton, Paul Bolton and James Ray Bolton; and one great-grandson, Colby Wolfe preceded her in death.Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ted and Ann James, Jr. of Chandler, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Bob Cooper of Meeker; one sister, Betty Jo Glossup of Paris, Texas; grandchildren and their spouses, Judy and David Trammell of Athens Texas, Debbie and Brent Foreman of Yukon, David and Lucy James of Jacksonville, Gary and Kim Cooper of Madil and Michelle and Charlie Wolfe of Meeker; thirteen great grandchildren and twenty seven great great grandchildren.The Graham family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Meeker.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Meeker with Pastor Joe Jones officiating.Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Okemah.
