Summer Dey Gokey, 30 year old Seminole resident passed from this life on Friday, March 20, 2015 in Seminole, Oklahoma.She was born June 25, 1984 in Claremore, Oklahoma to parents, Darrell Martin Gokey and Carolyn Dee Wood Gokey.Summer worked at the Best Western Hotel in Seminole as a housekeeper. She was also a member of Spring Baptist Church in Sasakwa, Oklahoma.Survivors include her mother, Carolyn Yarbrough of Seminole, Oklahoma; one daughter, Nacaiah Armaru Gokey of Seminole, Oklahoma; five brothers, Darrell M. Gokey, Jr. of Shawnee, Oklahoma; Aries Gokey of Seminole, Oklahoma; Damion Gokey of Seminole, Oklahoma; Delrey Gokey of Pryor, Oklahoma; Tyrone Gokey of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; seven sisters, Latosha Gokey of Dallas, Texas; Cassandra Knox of Shawnee, Oklahoma; Dariel Gokey of Shawnee, Oklahoma; Dina Harjo of Shawnee, Oklahoma; Rosetta Garcia of Chandler, Oklahoma; Deanna Gokey of Edmond, Oklahoma; Rose Cervontes of Florida; grandfather, Matthew Wood of Seminole, Oklahoma; and a host of other family and dear friends.Summer was preceded in death by her father, Darrell M. Gokey Sr.A wake service will be held Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m., March 24, 2015 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole.Funeral services are scheduled for Noon, Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the Sac & Fox Community Center in Stroud, Oklahoma with Rev. Kevin Fox and Rev. Ed George, who will officiate the service.Interment will follow at the Sac & Fox Tribal Cemetery in Stroud.Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
