ANNABEL GAZAWAY
1925 - 2013


Annabel Breeden Gazaway, long-time Tryon, Oklahoma, resident was born on December 30, 1925, in Tryon, Oklahoma, and departed this life on March 17, 2013, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, at the age of 87 years.
Annabel was the daughter of Emmaus and Ila Dona Borough Breeden.
She grew up in the Tryon area, attending both Independence and Pleasant Valley grade schools. Annabel graduated 8th grade at Tryon grade school and completed both 9th and 10th grade at Tryon High School.
On December 1, 1953, she was united in marriage to Claud Gazaway in Perkins, Oklahoma. To this union Claud brought his five year old son, Raymond, who she raised as her own. In 1967, a daughter Martha Anna was born.
Annabel was a housewife and worked with her husband in his construction business.
She was a member of the Tryon Assembly of God Church.
In her later years the joy of her life was her two granddaughters.
Her parents, husband, one brother, and two sisters preceded Annabel in death.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Cathy Gazaway of Stillwater, Oklahoma, one daughter and son-in-law Martha and Aaron Huckabay of Stillwater, Oklahoma, granddaughters, Rachel and Laura Huckabay, one brother and sister-in-law, Ben and Shirley Breeden of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Margie and Bob Street of Oklahoma City and Betty and Kenneth Hutchinson of Tryon, other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of your choice.
A graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Tryon Cemetery in Tryon, Oklahoma, with Rev. Lorn Starling officiating.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
