DONALD LEROY GAYLORD
1950 - 2015

Donald Leroy Gaylord was called home on Monday, January 12, 2015, at the age of 64.
He was born in Chandler, Oklahoma on April 23, 1950 and graduated Chandler High School in 1968.
He received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army in 1973, after serving in Kaiserslaugtern, Germany, and married Billie Ann Newnam of Davenport, Oklahoma, where they have resided for over 40 years, on February 21, 1974.
Donnie was employed by T&J Marketing in Davenport and served as Deacon for many years at the First Baptist Church, Davenport, Oklahoma.
Among his hobbies were farming, horses and fishing. Attending sporting events of his grandchildren and spending time with his family and friends was an important part of his life.
Donnie's faith inspired others, his hard work ethic and can-do attitude spurred others to action, and his sense of humor lifted our spirits. Although he is gone from his earthly home his example and love will live on in our hearts and lives.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ardyce Francis Gaylord and mother, Nona Agnes Robbins Gaylord of Chandler, Oklahoma; father-in-law, William E. Newnam and mother-in-law, Betty Louise Stephens Newnam of Davenport, Oklahoma.
Donnie is survived by his wife, Billie Ann; son, Brad and wife Lisha, grandchildren, Cole and Clarissa of Chandler; son, Clint and wife Heather, grandchildren Eli, Peyton and Autumn of Davenport; son, Grant and grandchildren Kristabella, Kourtland, Keagan and Korbyn of Davenport; sister, Linda Bates of Missouri City,Texas; step-mother, Wilma Hoover Gaylord of Chandler, Oklahoma; sister-in-law and brother- in-law, Shirley and Don Hargis of Clovis, California; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kathy and Mark Weber of Tulsa, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to: Donald Gaylord Memorial Fund, c/o Davenport First Baptist Church.
Services will be Friday, January 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 625 Santa Fe, Davenport, Oklahoma. Interment will be at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, NW of Chandler.
