VIRGINIA GARRETT
1912 - 2002
Shawnee resident Virginia Moydell Garrett, 90, died Thursday at her residence.She was born February 17, 1912, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Charles and Lula Sedlacek Moydell.She lived in the Prague and Shawnee area nearly all her life.Garrett was a homemaker and a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church of Shawnee.She also worked at Tinker Air Force Base for several years.She married William Leroy "Roy" Garrett December 17, 1938, in Shawnee.Mrs. Garrett was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sons, Donald Garrett and Delbert Garrett; brothers, Kenneth Wayne "Sam" Moydell, Lawrence Moydell, Milton Moydell; sisters, Helen Bradley, Evangeline Morris and Augusta Bradley.Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Garrett of Fort Worth, Texas; brothers, Lester Moydell of Enid; Chester Moydell of Midwest City; and Keith Moydell of Prague; and several nieces and nephews.Services are 10:00 a.m. Monday at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel of Prague with interment following at Prague Cemetery.The Rev. Steve Roach will officiate.Published May 17, 2002.
