MARGARET JOHANNA GALLUP
1929 - 2014


Margaret Johanna Richie Gallup was born December 19, 1929 in Galveston, Texas to Arnold Adolph Richie and Selma Louise Evers.
She passed away July 25, 2014 in Carney at the age of 84.
Margaret worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 18 years. Along with her first husband she built five houses and gave them away to people in need. She loved everyone.
She was a member of the Lutheran Church in Galveston, Texas.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Selma; first husband, Vernon Carl Gallup; brother, Jack Wolf; sons, Vernon Lee Gallup, and Glen Gallup.
Survivors include her husband, Buddy O'Dell of the home; son, Harry and his wife Louise Brownell of Sunnyville, Texas; and her daughter, Jeanie and her husband Dan Cantrell of Santa Fe, Texas.
Margaret will return to Hitchcock, Texas for a funeral service where she will be laid to rest beside her first husband at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home of Hitchcock.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
