Katherine Brown Hildreth Franklin was born on January 1, 1938, in Pawnee, Oklahoma, and departed this life on February 19, 2014, in Midwest City, Oklahoma, at the age of 76.Katherine, the daughter of Fryor and Margaret Christjohn Brown, was a long-time resident of Prague.She married Shannon Franklin on May 30, 1963, in Chandler. They were married 32 years until his death in 1994.Her parents, husband, one daughter, Jamie Franklin, four brothers and three sisters preceded Katherine in death.Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas and April Franklin of Davis and Steven David and Bess Franklin of Stroud, daughters and sons-in-law, Lousia Michelle and Joe Jordan of Prague, Lisa Ann and Raymond Harjo of Prague, Shannon Rochelle Franklin of Prague and Rita Poorbuffalo of Apache; sister, Virginia Wright of Shawnee; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as other family and friends.Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Sac and Fox Tribal Cemetery in Stroud.
