Charles Elliott Forbis was born February 17, 1941 in Chandler to Elliott Forbis and Nora Curtis Forbis.He passed away December 3, 2013 in Oklahoma City at the age of 72.Charles married Barbara Janell Hightower August 5, 1960 in Davenport and raised three children together.He spent most of his career in banking and Insurance with Security State Bank of Davenport and Forbis Insurance Agency and later retired from the Small Business Administration in 1994.He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Davenport.Charles was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Julie Forbis; and brother, Larry Forbis.Survivors include his wife, Barbara, of the home; daughter, Tina and her husband Jimmy Christy of Davenport; son, Charles Scott Forbis and his wife Darla of Chandler; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; brother Curtis and his wife Myrna of Lewisville, Texas; and sister Lesa of Davenport.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the Stroud First Christian Church.Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
