MILDRED FLOWERS
1918 - 2010
Mildred Collins Flowers, 91, of Lynn Haven, Florida. passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at her home.She was born in Yale, Oklahoma and had lived in Lynn Haven with her daughter for the past 23 years.Mildred was a 1940 graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University and taught fourth and fifth grades in Oklahoma for 35 years.She was a member of Hiland Park Baptist Church.Mrs. Flowers was predeceased by her husband, the Rev. Cecil H. Flowers, in 1966.Survivors include two children, Chuck and Mary of Dallas and Kaye Maddox {Mitch} of Lynn Haven, Florida; two brothers, Raymond Collins of McAlester, Oklahoma, and John Collins of Laguna Woods, California; five grandsons, Hayden, Ward, Leighton, Trey and Jeremy; 11 great-grandchildren, Lawson, SaraBeth, Hudson, Michael, Stephen, Colson, Cooper, Esther, Caden, Jayden and Jordyn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2010, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home chapel.Graveside services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 19, 2010, at Prague Cemetery in Prague, Oklahoma.© Lincoln County News.
