1936 - 2014
Johnny "J. J." Florer was born in Kendrick, Oklahoma on February 19, 1936 and departed this life at his home on December 31, 2014 at the age of 78 years.Johnny was the son of Lawrence and Julia Ramsey Florer.He was a resident of Stroud and Kendrick area most of his life.Johnny served in the United States Army.He was a member of the Stroud Christian Church and was a rancher.He married Martha R. Stark in Ark City, Kansas on August 8, 1993.He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandsons, Jeff Lane and Dee Hodges.Survivors are Diann and David Hodges of Tecumseh, Connie and George Bookout of Altus, Sabrina Paulette and Joe Lane of Claremore, John and Heather Florer of Sapulpa, Brent and Pam Walker of Owasso, Brad and Kavra Walker of Barnsdall, Darrin and Carrie Walker of Barnsdall, and Kate and William Waggoner, thirty five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.Memorial will be held at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Will Fine officiating.
