Wilma Faye Whipkey Flatt was born in Avery, Oklahoma on October 23, 1932 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the age of 80 years.Wilma was the daughter of Leonard O. and Doshia Caudill Whipkey.Wilma had lived most of her life in Stroud, Oklahoma.She worked at the Stroud Hospital as a LPN for many years and was an Administor of Chandler Nursing Home.Wilma married Wesley Wayne Flatt Sr, in Stroud, Oklahoma on August 1, 1953.She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.Survivors include her husband, Wesley of the home, one son, Wayne Flatt of Stroud, Oklahoma, one brother, Boyd Whipkey of Cheyenne, Oklahoma, two sisters, Wilda Thomas of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Shirley Boyd of Las Vegas, Nevada, three grandchildren, Jessica Sena and Jerrica Flatt of Stroud and Jordan Flatt of Chandler, two great grandchildren, Lexie Sena and Evan Sena of Stroud, other relatives and friends.A memorial service will be held at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel on Friday, January 4, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. with Stephen Jeffcoat officiating.Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
