Linda Jewell Hammock Farris, age 65 of Cushing, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at St. John’s Hospital in Sapulpa.She was born on January 21, 1944 in Wichita, Kansas to the late R. G. and Pauline Cooper Hammock.She grew up in Drumright and attended Drumright School.When she was younger the family attended the First Baptist Church in Drumright.Linda led a simple life and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She was a giving person and also gave from the love in her heart.She is survived by her son, John Farris and wife Yavette of Lindsay; daughters Brenda Norton and husband Mike of Humble, Texas; Tiffany Holcomb and husband Steve of Missouri; and an unknown daughter; brothers Ronnie Hammock and wife Linda of Cushing; Donnie Hammock and wife Judy of Cushing; Danny Hammock and wife Sherry of Drumright; Randy Hammock and Lynnette Butler of Tahlequah; sisters Janice Decker and husband Bob of Cushing; Marilyn Flatt and husband Dwitt of Drumright; Wanda Schad and Geno Hebard of Cushing; Rita Baugh and husband Allan of Drumright; grandchildren Stephanie Zurovec, Trey Hammock, Amber Maddox, Cameron Thorp and Chase Holcomb.She was preceded in death by her parents.Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Gary Smith will officiate.Interment will follow at the Tryon Cemetery, Tryon, Oklahoma.Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.
