JIMMY HAROLD EYESTONE
1943 - 2016


Jimmy Harold Eyestone was born in Chandler May 8, 1943 and passed away August 12, 2016 in Shawnee at the age of 73.
Jimmy was born and raised in Chandler where he was a 2nd generation dairy farmer.
He and his wife, Phyllis, raised 3 boys together.
Jimmy graduated Chandler High School in 1961, joined the United States Army and went through basic training at Ft. Bragg, North Caroline. After the birth of his first son they moved back to Oklahoma where he continued farming dairy. Jimmy stopped dairy farming in 1985 and became a rural mail carrier. Due to health concerns he retired from the Post Office and remained on the family farm for the remainder of his life.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Clara Gladden Eyestone; wife, Phyllis Beasler Eyestone; and brother-in-law, Wayne Johnson.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Eyestone and his wife Deanna of Chandler, Rodney Eyestone of Parkland, Jeremy Eyestone and his wife Valerie of Chandler; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Sandra Johnson of Shawnee, Gloria and her husband Mike Neer of Sallisaw; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at the Lehman Funeral Home Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
