ROY ALVIN EVANS
1937 - 2016


Roy Alvin Evans was born December 24, 1937 on a farm just north of Captain Creek School to Cecil and Bertha Danker Evans.
He was the older of twin sons. Roy lived in Wellston most of his life and he graduated from Wellston High School with the class of 1957.
Roy worked for Harmon Construction Company then Flintco Construction Company for many years.
He loved his family, his co-workers, and farming on his John Deere tractor. But most of all, he loved to laugh.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents and son, Kenneth Evans.
Survivors include his son, Richard Evans, grandchildren, Jordan and Allison Evans, twin brother Troy Evans and his wife, Jeanette, brothers, Marvin Evans and his wife Deanna and Larry Evans and his wife Donna, sisters, Kathryn and her husband Ben Olds and Karen Springer; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and co-workers.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 28, 2016 at the Trinity Baptist Church with interment following in the Wellston Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
