LaROY WINFORD EVANS
1932 - 2012


LaRoy Winford Evans was born September 14, 1932 in Chandler, Oklahoma to Winford Maxine and Georgia Velma Ralstin Evans and passed away October 27, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 80.
He was a resident of Wellston for 80 years.
He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a truck driver and welder for the Local Union 798.
He enjoyed woodworking and sitting at his kitchen table watching The Price Is Right.
LaRoy was preceded in death by his father; one daughter and his grandson, Gary Evans, Jr.
He is survived by his mother Georgia; children, Gary Evans of Tulsa; Terry Evans of Oklahoma City; Rodney Evans of Wellston; Brian Evans of Wellston; Pamela Bond of Oklahoma City; brother, Charles Evans of Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the Missionary Baptist Church in Wellston.
LaRoy will later be laid to rest at the Wellston Cemetery.
Services under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
