EARL DEAN ELLIS
1932 - 2013


Earl Dean Ellis was born on August 9, 1932, in Dodson, Texas, and departed this life on Friday, May 31, 2013, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 80.
Earl, the son of Virgil Thomas and Cora Eunice Bray Ellis, was a resident of Prague.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from which he retired in 1973. He then worked at Tinker AFB where he also retired.
Earl married Patsy Ann Blakely on June 20, 1952. She preceded him in death on November 10, 2005.
He married Netta Wallace on August 7, 2006.
Earl was a member of the Davenport Church of the Nazarene.
His parents, brothers Gene and Virgil, sisters, Pauline Bennet, Fay Smith and Inez Murray, two grandsons, and one step-grandaughter also preceded Earl in death.
Survivors include his wife, Netta Ellis of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Nancy Ellis of Seminole, Michael and Loretto Ellis of Elgin, Charles and Kim Ellis of Spring, Texas; step-sons, Mitchell Baskett and his wife Carla of Yukon, Monty Baskett of Prague, Mike Hall and his wife Dawn of Prague; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Sandy Ellis of Lubbock, Texas; sister, Dee Sarah of Amarillo; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren, one step-great-grandson and numerous friends.
The Ellis family will receive friends at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague on Sunday, June 2, 2013, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 3, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Davenport Church of the Nazarene in Davenport with Lowell Clark officiating.
Interment will follow at New Zion Cemetery in Chandler.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Chandler, Oklahoma.
