MURLE WARREN EDMONDSON
1923 - 2010
Murle Warren Edmondson was born on December 18, 1923 in Stillwater near Lake Carl Blackwell to Roy Mitchell Edmondson and Beaulah Dorthea Edmondson.He served in the 3Cs for a short while.Murle worked on the railroad for 11 years; in the oil field for 29 years; and retired from the City of Stillwater after seven years.He married Opal Mae Brown on July 10, 1943.He enjoyed fishing, camping, selling vegetables and pumpkins, and especially having all of his family around him. He was a wonderful father and grandfather and he will be truly missed.Murle passed away Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Westhaven Rehabilitation Center.He was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Roy Wesley and Sharon Ann Edmondson; five brothers; a daughter-in-law Connie Edmondson and a great-granddaughter, Gracie JoAnn Apperson.Murle is survived by his wife, Opal of the home; five children, Judy and husband, Jerry Doty, Frank L. Edmondson and wife, Jann, Warren Lee Edmondson, Sandi Grider and husband, Wayne, and Gary Lynn Edmondson; one sister, Lottie Trout of Stillwater; twelve grandchildren, Leigh Ann Apperson, Tammy Moffat, Warren L. Edmondson, Jr., Nina Mae Edmondson, Steve Martin, Scott Doty, Krissa Rains, Brent Grider, LaTisha Germany, Cory Edmondson, Mike Edmondson, and Staci Edmondson; fourteen great grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.Graveside services for Murle Warren Edmondson, 86, of Stillwater are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Carney Cemetery in Carney, Oklahoma.Services are under the direction of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater.Condolences may be sent using our online guestbook at www.pmcfh.com.
