1924 - 2016
Leonard Doyle Drewry, age 92, of Harrah, Oklahoma was born on March 19, 1924, in Paden, Oklahoma. He was the son of Leonard and Ella Massey Drewry. He left this life on Saturday, June 11, 2016, in Harrah, Oklahoma.Doyle proudly served in the Coast Guard during World War II.He retired from Tinker AFB and then pursued a lifelong dream of owning a dairy farm. Doyle also was a bus driver for Harrah Schools for many years.He enjoyed attending the Tuesday Bible study at the Harrah Senior Center, gardening and his cattle.Doyle was a student of life and he loved reading and being around his family. He loved visiting with those who stopped to buy his tomatoes that he sold out of his garage.He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Geraldine, and his sister, Maxine.Survivors include his three daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Alton Fannin of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Nancy and Steve Sullivan of Choctaw, Oklahoma and Jane and Jeff Winters of Harrah, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren and spouses, Lea Ann and David Quirk, Joy Fannin, David and Jessica Fannin, Jayma and Darin McClaugherty, Jordan Winters, Jake Winters, Josh Winters and Blake Sullivan; three great grandchildren, Caleb Williams, Hannah Quirk and Christian Fannin; special friend, Edith Briley of Harrah, Oklahoma and many other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, Oklahoma.Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery, Prague, Oklahoma.Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, Oklahoma.
