JAMES ALLEN DOWDY
1965 - 2016


James Allen Dowdy was born in Stroud, Oklahoma on November 23, 1965 and went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at the age of 50 years.
James was the son of John Buster and Sharon Marie Johnson Dowdy.
He was a resident of Stroud all of his life.
He served in the Army National Guard.
James graduated from Stroud High School in 1984. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stroud and worked at Wal-Mart in Bristow in the Automotive Department.
He is preceded in death by his father, John and a niece, Heather.
Survivors include two daughters, Dena Sha Contreres and husband Josh of Stillwater and Savannah Dowdy and fiancée Ja of Broken Arrow, Mother, Sharon Dowdy of Stroud, one brother, Jeffery Dowdy of Stroud, one sister, Lori Ann Sellers and husband Lance of Stroud, three grandchildren, Alexander James, Reagen Rose and Axle, other relatives and friends.
Memorial Graveside will be held at the Stroud Cemetery on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. James Bond officiating.
Servicea are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
