1935 - 2009
Carl W. Douglass, Jr., age 74 of Las Vegas, Nevada, formerly of Oklahoma passed away on January 31, 2009 in Burbank, California.Mr. Douglas was born on January 18, 1935 in Shawnee, Oklahoma the son of Carl and Mabel Warner Douglass, Sr.He graduated from High School then attended college.He was united in marriage to Virginia Morgan in Oilton, Oklahoma and she preceded him in death.He worked as a Geophysical Engineer and was retired.He was a member of Clark County Nevada, Sheriff’s Areo Squadron, Nevada Civil Air Patrol.Carl is survived by two sons, Carl Douglass III and wife Gwen; and Brian Douglass; one daughter, Karen Denise Douglass; one sister, Norma Lewis; five grandchildren, Carl Douglass IV, Robert Douglass, Shawnee Douglass, Victoria Douglass and Jade Douglass.Mr. Douglass was preceded in death by his loving wife and parents.Those who wish may make memorials to the Civil Air Patrol in memory of Mr. Douglass.His funeral services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Cushing, Oklahoma and will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday morning, February 7, 2009, at the First Baptist Church in Agra, Oklahoma with Interment to follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery north of Chandler, Oklahoma.
