RONALD J. DINGMAN
1942 - 2008
Ronald J. Dingman, longtime Kendrick and Stroud resident, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2008 at his residence at Stroud at the age of 66 years.
The son of the late Donald Dingman and Susie Foster Dingman, Ronald was born on February 7, 1942 north of Stroud and was reared and educated in the Kendrick area.
After graduation from high school he was drafted into the United States Army.
Ronald had worked as a trucker in the oil field industry most of his life.
He enjoyed fishing, gardening, spending time with his grandchildren, Katy and Luke and visiting with his friends.
Survivors include one daughter, Angie Simon and her husband Luke and their children Katy and Wyatt of Davenport; two step-children, Clifford Wilson and his family of Parkland, Oklahoma; and Bo Wilson and his family of Arkansas; two brothers, Donald Dingman and his wife June; and Bill Dingman and his wife Roberta, all of Kendrick; two sisters Ardith Patterson and her husband Pat of Stroud; and Mary Sue Dingman of Kendrick; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers David and James Dingman.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church at Davenport with Reverend Mike Mitchell, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Kendrick Cemetery.
Visitation will be held in Cushing at the Davis Funeral Home and on Wednesday from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. he will lie in state at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Stroud.
