CABOT REX DEATHERAGE
1919 - 2015


Cabot Rex Deatherage, age 95, of Choctaw, Oklahoma was born on August 27, 1919, in Maud, Oklahoma.
He was the son of Stephen Boone and Maudie Ann Morgan Deatherage.
He left this life on Saturday, January 24, 2015, in Choctaw, Oklahoma.
Rex proudly served in the U. S. Army during WW II.
He married Lela Evelyn "Suzi" Samford on June 2, 1949, in Phoenix, Arizona.
He was a truck driver for many years.
Rex was a member of the Choctaw Church of Christ and he enjoyed gardening, building houses, dairy farming, raising calves and he argued the Bible.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, William Todd Deatherage; and seven brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Suzi Deatherage, Choctaw, Oklahoma; three sons and daughter-in-law, Tom Deatherage, Harrah, Oklahoma; Cabot Rex Deatherage, Jr., Choctaw, Oklahoma; Craig and Cherlynn Deatherage, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Christina Thompson, Misty Martin, Evelyn Weaver, Steven Deatherage, Donnie Deatherage, Stephanie Chandler and Alicia Breslin; fifteen great-grandchildren, Christayla Vessar, Tanis Thompson, Nicholas Martin, Sarah Martin, Alyssa Martin, Declan Weaver, Kyann Weaver, Gavin Weaver, Jared Deatherage, Bailey Deatherage, Rayden Deatherage, Riley Deatherage, Madison Deatherage, Albert Chandler and Degan Breslin and many other relatives and friends.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at the Choctaw Church of Christ, Choctaw, Oklahoma.
Interment will follow at Jamison Cemetery, McLoud, Oklahoma.
Services are under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, Oklahoma.
