MARY H. DAVIS
1932 - 2008


Mary Halsey Davis, a Tryon resident, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 in the Resthaven Nursing Home at the age of 76 years.
The daughter of the late Lauren Halsey and Tina Harper Halsey, Mary was born on September 9, 1932 in Fairfield, Iowa.
She spent most of her adult life living in California. She eventually moved to Arizona where she lived until moving to Oklahoma in 2004.
In her spare time Mary enjoyed visiting with friends and family and doing crafts.
She was a longtime member of the Latter Day Saints Church.
Mary is survived by one son, Michael Davis of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Culleen Anderson and her husband Justin of Tryon, Oklahoma; one brother, Lauren Halsey and his wife Carol of Iowa; one sister, Nancy Shannon and her husband Larry of Phoenix, Arizona; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Davis and two brothers.
Graveside services have been entrusted to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma and will be held at 10:00 a. m., Saturday, September 27, 2008 in the Tryon Cemetery, Tryon, Oklahoma with Larry Shannon officiating.
