Levonne Mixon Davis was born in Stroud, Oklahoma on October 18, 1943 and went to be with the Lord on Monday June 2, 2014 at the age of 70 years.Levonne is the daughter of Hunter Mixon, Sr. and Della Ann Williamson Mixon.She was a resident of Stroud, Oklahoma for most of her life.Levonne attended Stroud High School and later worked as a professional cook at a number of local restaurants, retiring in 2012.She was a lover of nature and nature returned the favor through the multitudes of birds that visited her house.Levonne was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Doris Annet, husband, Paul Davis, and brothers, James and Orville.She is survived by her five children, Brian Argrow and wife Guendolyn of Longmont, Colorado, John Argrow and wife Barbera of Boulder, Colorado, Jeffrey Argrow, Rachel Byrd and husband James of Stroud, Oklahoma and Paula Haskins and husband Randy of Stillwater, Oklahoma, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She leaves to mourn, along with her children, two brothers, Alvin Mixon, Sr. and wife, Helen and Hunter Mixon, Jr. and two sisters, Shirley Goodman and husband, Lindell and Jeanell Britton, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.Funeral service will be held at the First Christian Church at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2014 with Rev. Lorenzo C. Jacobs officiating.Burial will be in the Godwin Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.Donations may be made to The Chosen House, 215 E. 4th Street, Chandler, Oklahoma 74834.
