Lucy Kate Plymale Davis was born on July 14, 1925, in Barnes, Franklin County, Arkansas, and departed this life on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, in Prague Oklahoma, at the age of 87.Katie moved to Amarillo, Texas with her family when she was 2 years old. Following completion of her formal education in Amarillo, she met Bill Davis. They were married on July 13, 1943 and moved to Prague. Bill preceded Katie in death on August 20, 1990. They were of the Catholic faith and attended St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.Katie worked many years as a nurse at the Okmulgee, Stroud, Prague and Shawnee hospitals.Her parents, two infant sons, daughter, Helen A. Davis, one brother, Everett Plymale, two sisters, Ruth Stocks and Barbara Plymale and three grandchildren also preceded Katie in death.Katie is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Treva Davis of Oklahoma City, Carl Davis of Prague, Jody and Jennifer Davis of Shawnee, Freddie and Linda Davis of Prague, Alvin and Connie Davis of Piedmont and Mike Davis of Prague; daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Jerry Betley of Huntertown, Indiana, Rosie Davis Annanders of Tecumseh, Kaye Davis McCord of Paden and Christie Davis Dunsmore of McLoud, twenty seven grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.The Davis family will receive friends on Thursday, April 18, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Home. A Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m.Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Prague with Rev. Father Price Oswalt officiating.Interment will follow at the Catholic Cemetery.
