1932 - 2015
Eva Joyce Douglas Davis was born in Okemah, Oklahoma on September 15, 1932, and departed this life in Prague, Oklahoma, on Sunday, February 22, 2015, at the age of 82 years.Eva was the daughter of Jess Monroe and Rena Gann Douglas.She was a resident of Agra most of her life.Eva graduated from Chandler High School in 1950. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Chandler and worked for Chandler schools as a custodian for many years.Eva married George Eldon Davis in Wichita, Kansas on October 31, 1950. He preceded her in death on August 17, 1983. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three sons, Michael, Robert, and Tommy; seven brothers and sisters.Survivors include three sons, Phillip Davis of Agra; William Davis and wife Linda of Agra; Mark Davis of Agra; two daughters and son in laws, Marilyn and Darl Moore of Chandler; and Janice and Larry Boettner of Edmond; ten grandchildren, Darin and Cory Wooden, Amy Miller, Allison Moore, Trista Dye, Krystle Heidrick, Stephen, Jody, Chad, and Chelsea Davis; and eighteen great grandchildren as well as other relatives and numerous friends.A wake will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Chandler.The funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, with Father Jim Mickus officiating.Burial will follow at Parkland Cemetery.Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
