Floyd Edward Daniels, Jr. "GI" was born on August 20, 1931, in Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Monday, March 17, 2014, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 82.GI, the son of Floyd Edward and Tenolia Pearson Daniels, was a resident of Shawnee.He was a butcher at the Prague Locker Plant for over 20 years.He enjoyed playing dominoes, going to casinos and just being with friends.His parents and brother, Robert Lee Daniels, preceded GI in death.Survivors include his son, Marvin Daniels Ellison of Shawnee; two granddaughters, Nicole Carr and Gabrielle Gaines; one grandson, Darry Carter, Jr.; seven great grandchildren; and other family and friends.The Daniels family will receive friends on Thursday, March 20, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 21, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Rev. Odell DePriest Crawford officiating.Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery.Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
