ADDIE LOUISE CRANE
1935 - 2016
Addie Louise Watkins Crane, Sapulpa resident, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the age of 80 years.The daughter of the late Clarence R. Watkins and Pearl P. Chesmore Watkins, Addie was born on February 2, 1935 on the family farm southwest of Cushing.She attended school in Agra, graduating from Agra High School with the class of 1953.Addie was united in marriage to Lee Roy Crane on March 4, 1954 and to this union two children, Jerry and Sheree, were born. Lee Roy preceded her in death in August 1996.Addie was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Owasso.She enjoyed crocheting, writing short stories, making tie blanks, embroidery, gardening and especially taking care of her kids and grandkids.Survivors include her son, Jerry Crane and his wife Teresa of Sapulpa; daughter, Sheree Crane of Mounds; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.In addition to her parents and husband, Addie was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Chad Esley and Renee Esley; seven siblings, Ray Watkins, Norman Watkins, A.C. Watkins, Irene Hood, Pauline Pierce, Ethel Matthews and Freda Dawes.Funeral services will be Monday, February 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Memorial Chapel of the Davis Funeral Home.Burial will follow in the Flynn Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Liver Research, 825 Northwest 13th Street, Oklahoma City Oklahoma 73104, in her honor.
