OPAL LORANE COY
1909 - 2007


Opal Lorane Coy, former Cushing resident now of Prescott, Arizona, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2007 in Prescott at the age of 97 years.
The daughter of the late Edward Wilkey and Minnie Collyar Wilkey, Opal was born on December 9, 1909 north of Kendrick, Oklahoma and was reared and educated near Kendrick.
She was united in marriage to Buck Coy; he preceded her in death in 1970.
Opal had worked for Tidrose Grocery for over 25 years in Kendrick prior to working at Warehouse Grocery in Cushing and later for the Cushing Hospital.
She was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, Leon and Kathy Thomas of Tucson, Arizona; Betty Thomas of Prescott, Arizona; and Don and Stephanie Wilkey of Stockton, Calfornia; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Olan Wilkey and Eldon Wilkey and two sisters, Anna Ellis and Edith Isreal.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the Memorial Chapel of the Davis Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Murray officiating.
Burial will follow in the Bethel Greenwood Cemetery, Agra.
