MARVIN ANDREW CONTWAY
1925 - 2014


Marvin Andrew of Chandler was born to Morgan Albert and Georgie Anna Stapp Contway on October 20, 1925, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He died Sunday, December 7, 2014, in Chandler at the age of 89 years.
Mr. Contway served in the United States Navy during World War II and retired from Alltel Communications.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his daughter, Dianna KC Contway Gray, a great-grandson, his brother, Morgan Grayson Contway and his sister, Glenda Jean Contway Hicks.
Survivors include his wife Opal Hicks Contway; his son, Daniel Wade Contway of Edmond, Oklahoma; Randy Hicks and Rocky Hicks of Chandler; his sister, Lynn Norberg of Claremore, Oklahoma; dozens of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at First Church of the Nazarene in Chandler with Keith Cole officiating.
Burial will take place at a later date at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Chandler.
Arrangements were under the direction of Adamscrest Funeral Service in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
