NEOMA MAY COMBS
1950 - 2014


Neoma May Farrow Combs, a lifelong Cushing resident, passed away on December 9, 2014 at her home at the age of 64, with her children by her side.
She was born in Lexington, Oklahoma to Carl and Naomi Farrow on March 13, 1950.
Neoma received her early education from first grade though seventh grade attending schools in California, Oklahoma City and Lexington. She attended Sunnyside school in the eighth grade.
She was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn on March 8, 1964 by Brother Charles Pruitt.
Soon after at the age of 15, she met the love of her life Derrill Lee Combs and was married on June 26, 1965 by brother Bob Tibbett, and to this union three children were born Delvin, Robert, and Tammy.
Neoma enjoyed spending time helping her children at many school functions and making wedding cakes and birthday cakes for brethren. People still talk about the many beautiful cakes she made over the years, even those she made while working at Wal-Mart Bakery.
She loved taking trips to Branson and spending as much time with her children and grandchildren as possible. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.
Neoma is survived by her mother Naomi Farrow, two sons: Delvin Combs and wife Heather of Drumright; Robert Combs and wife Beth of Cushing; one daughter Tammy Podschun and husband Danny of Cushing; two brothers: Carl Wayne Farrow and wife Sue of Cushing; Raymond Farrow and wife Crystal of Dewitt, Arkansas; two sisters: Joyce Boyd and husband Corky of Vici; Patsy Toland of Prairie View; ten grandchildren: DaKoda, Mitchell, and Holden Combs, Drake Combs and wife Brianna, Kyla, and Katy Combs, Abbie Carter and husband Trenton, Cody, Mandy, and Douglas Podschun.
She is preceded in death by her father Carl Farrow; loving husband Derrill Lee Combs; two sisters: Trela Idlett and Patricia Farrow; one grandson: Eli Podschun; three brothers-in Law: Allen Idlett, Gerald Rodgers and James Toland.
Funeral services have been entrusted to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, and will be held on December 13, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in Cushing, Oklahoma.
Brother Danny Godwin and Brother Marshall Rodgers will officiate.
Interment will follow at the Flynn Cemetery.
