IRVEN B. CLAYTON
1931 - 2005


Irven B. Clayton, age 74 of Agra died on Sunday, September 18, 2005 at his home in Agra.
Irven was born on February 3, 1931 in Cushing, Oklahoma to Ben F. and Ann Clayton.
He grew up in Cushing and attended Hillside school.
Irven married Rosalyn K. Howard on October 2, 1952 in Guthrie, Oklahoma. They made their home in Agra.
He worked as a pumper in the oilfield.
Irven was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Fighting Bastards Battalion. During the Korean War he was in the second division and the Indian Division. While in Germany he was stationed in the 4th Army and in Korea he was stationed in the 15th Field Artillery. After serving his country bravely he was honorably discharged and continued his service in the local V.F.W.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalyn Clayton in 2001 and his parents.
Irven is survived by his sons, Randy Clayton of Agra and Greg Clayton of Paola, Kansas, brothers, Doug Clayton of Agra and Tom Clayton of Cushing, sister Mary Ellen Hill of Bowie, Texas, grandson Josh Clayton and great grandsons Devin and Logan Clayton.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the Parkland Cemetery, Parkland, Oklahoma.
Services are entrusted to the Palmer and Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.
