Graveside services for Richard Curtis “Shorty” Clark will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the West/Anderson Cemetery in Okemah.Richard Curtis “Shorty” Clark was born December 7, 1934 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Ernest Jewel and Eunis Gokey Clark. He passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in Stroud, Oklahoma at the age of 81.Mr. Clark was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County, Oklahoma.He and Elizabeth A. “Ten Cent” West were married in 1960 in Okemah; she later preceded him in death April 18, 2015.Mr. Clark worked many years in the oilfields and thoroughly enjoyed taking care of his lawn. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Also preceding him in death were three sisters, three brothers, one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter.Survivors include his daughter, Tereasa Rhodd and husband Alden of Davenport; three sons, Tony Clark and wife Patty, Todd Clark and Tim Clark all of Davenport, Oklahoma; one brother, Carmen Clark and wife Vera of Stoud, Oklahoma; two sisters, Mary Eldridge of Stroud and Glenda Hodge of Cushing, Oklahoma; sixteen grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren.Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma and officiated by the 2nd Chief of the Sac and Fox Nation, Don Abney.
