1917 - 2006
Mary Belle Stitch Clark, a resident of Stroud, Oklahoma, died on Thursday, July 13, 2006, at Stroud, Oklahoma, at the age of 89 years.Mary, the daughter of Edward John and Edna Ferne Bates Stitch, was born in Gatlin, Oklahoma, on April 9, 1917.She married Cosby Edward Clark in Duncan, Oklahoma on June 15, 1940.Mary moved to Stroud two years ago from Ponca City, Oklahoma, where she lived for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, worked as a Home Health Care Provider, and loved to teach music.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1989, three brothers and one sister.Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Cosby and Beverly Clark of Stroud; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.Visitation will be 8:00 a.m to 9:00 p.m Saturday, 1:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m Sunday, and 8:00 a.m to 9:00 p.m. Monday.Service will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Stroud.Burial will be 2:00 p.m at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Services, Stroud.
