LAWANA FAYE CHAPMAN
1932 - 2011
Lawana Faye Chapman, age 58 of Agra, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2011 in Clifton, Colorado.She was born May 23, 1953 in Grand Junction, Colorado to Roy Johnnie and Nelda Moore Chapman.She grew up in Harrisburg, Oregon, graduating from Harrisburg Union High School in 1972.Lawana was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn on August 14, 1966 by Brother Bud Swezey.She and her family moved to Oklahoma in 1974, Lawana worked as a custodian for O.S.U. for nine years. She then moved to Grand Junction, Colorado and worked for Coors Porcelain Plant for ten years.Lawana moved back home to Agra in 1994 to be close to her family. She worked for as a custodian for the Cushing Schools from 1996 ~ 2007. Due to declining health she had to retire.Lawana loved reading and spending time with children.She was a member of the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in Parkland.Survivors include her mother, Nelda Wright of Agra; brothers, Franklin Leroy Chapman and wife, Tawanna of Parkland; Dwayne Chapman and wife, Jennie of Hastings, Nebraska; Joseph Chapman and wife, Angie of Delta, Colorado; brother-in-law, Dale Molloy of Agra; nieces and nephews Amanda Fisher, Kevin Chapman, Heather Mills, Wesley Molloy and Ben Molloy, Jason Chapman, Tara Chapman, Stacy Williams, Addie, Kalli and Lucas Chapman and thirteen great nieces and nephews.The family will greet friends and family Thursday October 6, 2011 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2011 at the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in Parkland, Oklahoma. Brother Fred Britton and Brother Randall Wright will officiate.Interment will follow at Parkland Cemetery, Parkland, Oklahoma.Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.
