Pink Monroe Chambers Jr. was born in Cushing, Oklahoma on June 20, 1936 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Monday, December 1, 2014 at the age of 78 years.Jr. was the son of Pink Monroe and Jewel Madeline Ethridge Chambers.He was a resident of Stroud most of his life.He was a horse trainer.He married Denzellmay "Judy" Johnston in Stroud, Oklahoma on April 28, 1982.She preceded him in death August 9, 2012.He was also preceded in death by his parents and one daughter.Survivors include one brother, Jesse Chambers of Stroud; two sisters and brother in laws, Betty and Bob Little of Harrah; Sarah Jean and La Roi Woods of Edmond; four grandchildren, John Williams, David Williams, Sharon Phillips and Edward Phifer; nine great grandchildren, Sammy, Kris, Nathan, Josh, Calysta Caleb, Chelsa, Jonna and Alex; as well as other relatives and friends.Funeral service will be held at the Parks Brothers Chapel on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. James Little and Rev. La Roi Woods officiating.Burial will be in the Stroud Cemetery, Stroud, Oklahoma under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
