DOUGLAS "DOUG" WAYNE BURCH

22 Jul 1946 - 7 Apr 2017

Douglas “Doug” Wayne Burch was born on July 22, 1946, in Calhoun, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Friday, April 7, 2017, in Norman, Oklahoma, at the age of 70, surrounded by family.

Doug, the son of James O. and Vida (Deaton) Burch, was a resident of Prague. He married Eva Nell Moss on October 4, 1969 in Stroud. Doug proudly served his country in the United States Army. Doug drove a truck for Home-Aid Lumber and then spent 25 years working as a diesel mechanic for Morgan Well Service. He loved traveling in his RV, camping, woodworking and playing with his grandchildren.

Doug’s parents, brother, Jerry Don Burch and sister, Carolyn Sue Burch preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Eva Nell Burch of Prague; sons and daughter-in-law, Keith and Kayla Burch of Prague and Kevin Burch of Prague; grandchildren, MaKenzie, Maxx and Maverick Burch of Prague; brothers, Jim Burch, of St. David, AZ and Kenneth Burch of Fayetteville, AR; sisters, Gloria Neff of Shady Point, OK and Becky Burch of Shady Point, OK and many other family and friends.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 10:00 AM, at Prague First Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
