RUTH MAY BUCKNUM
1922 - 2009
Chandler resident Ruth May Bucknum departed this life on Tuesday, February 17, 2009, in Chandler at the age of 86.
She was born August 15, 1922, in Lincoln County to Leonard Homer and Edith Mary Burger Gough.
She married C. M. Bucknum in El Reno, Oklahoma, on October 15, 1940.
Ruth worked many years for the Lincoln County Court Clerk Office and was active in the First Christian Church of Chander and the Junior Mothers Club.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one daughter, Vickie Sue Wilkinson.
Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Kay Taylor of Katy, Texas; six grandchildren, Scott Taylor of Tracy, California, Kathy Kuehne of Grapevine, Texas; Pipe Taylor of Katy, Texas; Gregg Taylor of Katy, Texas; and Andy Wilkinson and Katy Wilkinson; eight great-grandchildren, Kelsey Taylor, Olivia Taylor, Maya Taylor, Madelyn Kuehne, Abigayle Kuehne, Victoria Taylor, Kaitlyn Taylor and Alex Taylor; other relatives and cousins in Sparks and Lincoln County.
Service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 23, at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Chandler with the Rev. Fred Rider officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
