1917 - 2012
Louella Fowler Brown was born on February 6, 1917, in Lincoln County southeast of Meeker, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Friday, September 21, 2012, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 95.Louella, the daughter of William Edwin and Laura Minet Gilpin Fowler, was a life-long resident of the Prague area.She married Leeroy William Brown on November 14, 1934, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on November 23, 1977.Louella was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was involved for many years with the Centerview Extension Club.Her parents, daughter, Earline Mayes, son-in-law, Harvey D. Moore, six brothers and three sisters also preceded Louella in death.Survivors include her daughter, Carletta Moore of Shawnee, son and daughter-in-law, Howard Lee and Lavonne Brown of Prague, son-in-law, Glen Mayes of Prague, grandchildren, Betty and Tony Keesee of Mannford, Janet and David Ince of Tomball, Texas, Darlene and Steve Richardson of Prague, Donna and Johnnie Thoma of Prgue, Howard and Jennifer Brown of Prague and Randy and Krendy Brown of Prague fifteen great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and other relatives and many friends.The Brown family will receive friends on Sunday evening, September 23, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Home.Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 24, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Lonnie Hutton and Tony Keesee officiating.Interment will follow at the Prague Cemetery.
