Janice Marie Howell Brixey, long-time Chandler, Oklahoma resident was born on November 27, 1934, in Meeker, Oklahoma and departed this life Wednesday, August 14, 2013, in Edmond, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years.Janice was the daughter of Winfield Barnes and Elsie Pearl Sebastian Howell.She married A.T. Brixey Jr. on October 9, 1959, in Chandler.Janice was a school teacher for over 30 years teaching 1st grade at Agra elementary.Her father and husband preceded Janice in death.Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Jaynee and Mike Schones of Edmond, Oklahoma, one son and daughter-in-law, David and Jennie Brixey of Edmond, Oklahoma, mother, Elsie Pearl of Meeker, Oklahoma, one brother, Charles Howell of Meeker, Oklahoma, one grandchild, two great- grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 16, 2013, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Chandler, with Rev. Lorn Starling officiating.Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery.Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
