VINITA ALICE BREEDEN
1911 - 2009


Vinita Alice Ewing Breeden, 97, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed on to be with the Lord Jesus Christ in the Mansion Over the Hilltop on Sunday, March 29, 2009 in Muskogee.
She was born on May 30, 1911 in Alpena Pass, Arkansas to William Ewing and Ella Admire Ewing.
When she was 16 the family moved to Tryon, Oklahoma. It was there she met the love of her life, Theran L. Breeden and they were married on November 20, 1929 in Stillwater. Her husband was the pastor at the Cushing Revival Center. They were married for 54 years when he preceded her in death on January 18, 1984.
Family get-togethers were one of the things she loved most. She was an excellent homemaker and cook. She made each meal a delicious affair.
She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.
She loved the Lord and enjoyed going to church.
She also liked crocheting, good company and a good laugh.
She spent the last 9 ½ years at Park Boulevard Care Center in Muskogee where she was very well cared for.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Ewing in 1953 and Ella Ewing in 1921; her husband; two sons, Jimmy Lawrence Breeden in 1939 and Bobby Joe Breeden in 1976; five brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by two sons, Bill Breeden and his wife Shirley of Del City, Oklahoma and Jackie Breeden of Cushing, Oklahoma; two daughters, Wilma Linn and her husband Gene of Wagoner, Oklahoma and Bonnie Wilson and her husband Bill of Muskogee, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; thirteen great great-grandchildren; and one great great-great grandchild.
She leaves behind many happy memories that will be cherished forever.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2009 at Tryon Cemetery with Dr. Norman Richmond officiating.
