MARY EVELYN BRADNEY
1926 - 2016
Mary Evelyn Roberson Bradney was born on August 31, 1926, in Cleveland, Arkansas, and departed this life on Sunday, February 21, 2016, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 89.
Mary, the daughter of William and Clementine Scoggins Roberson, was a resident of Oklahoma City.
She married Marvin Beleele in 1945 and they remained married until his death in 1970. She then married James Bradney in 1975 and they remained married until his death in 1988.
She worked for the State of Oklahoma in the janitorial service until her retirement in 1983.
Mary enjoyed making pies for Governor George Nigh.
She was a great cook and loved making bread and candy and sharing it with others.
Her parents, husbands, sister, Stincy Dee, and two brothers, Jerry and Jesse preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Denise Beleele of Edmond; daughters and sons-in-law, Ava and Sonny Armstrong of Cushing, Yolanda and Tommy Eberhardt of Prague and Wynona and Jim Butcher of Kingfisher; stepson, Richard Bradney of Ohio; fourteen grandchildren; twenty seven great grandchildren; seventeen great great grandchildren; other numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The Bradney family will receive friends on Thursday, February 25, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Rev. Patrick McPherson officiating.
Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
