THELMA AGNESS BOUNDS
1916 - 2012
Thelma Agness Hicks Bounds of Tryon was born June 18, 1916, in Cheney, Missouri, and died Saturday, February 4, 2012, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, at the age of 95 years.She was the daughter of Boyd and Minnie Hancock Hicks.Thelma married Truman Cleo Bounds in 1932.She worked at Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, in the Food Service department.Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, two sisters and four brothers.Survivors include one son and daughter in law, Terry and Suzanne Bounds of Tryon; six sisters, Alma Banker and Emma Gene Maye, both of Nevada; Ruth Armstrong and Eloise White, both of Stillwater; Ann Moore of Weatherford, Oklahoma; and Jewel Mayhar of Perkins, Oklahoma; three granddaughters; three great grandchildren and other family and friends.Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Tryon Christian Church with the Rev. Loren Starling officiating.Burial followed at Tryon Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Chandler.© Lincoln County News, Published February 9, 2012; page 4.
