BLOSSOM DONZELLA BARTON
1922 - 2010


Blossom Donzella Jenkinson Barton, a former longtime Cushing resident, now of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away Tuesday evening, January 12, 2010, at the age of 87 years.
The daughter of the late Henry Wysor Jenkinson and Cecil Odessa Rosilade Leonard Jenkinson, Blossom was born on November 15, 1922 in Muncie, Indiana and was reared and educated in that area.
She was united in marriage to Jack Alfred Barton on July 30, 1940 in Indianapolis, Indiana and he preceded her in death after 54 years of marriage on July 24, 1994.
Blossom was a member of the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn and was baptized on August 17, 1936. She enjoyed being active with the church, spending time with her family and friends, and just enjoying life in general.
She is survived by two sisters, Henrietta Jenkinson and Shirley Jenkinson; two brothers, Thurlow Jenkinson and Darrel Jenkinson; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Rosilade Witcher and Twila Blankenship, and four brothers, Thayer, Avery, Vaughan and Buford Jenkinson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in Indianapolis, Indiana, with Brother Aaron Branham in charge.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 18, at 10:00 a.m. in the Parkland Cemetery with Brother Troy Toland in charge.
Visitation in Indianapolis will be held on Friday from 3:00 - 7:00 at the church.
Visitation in Cushing will be held on Sunday from 1:00 - 6:00 in the Chapel of the Davis Funeral Home.
