ALISHA BARTON
1979 - 2011


Alisha "Boo" Barton, 31, of Tecumseh, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011, in Shawnee.
She was born July 11, 1979, in Shawnee.
Alisha was a lifelong resident of Tecumseh and a 1999 graduate of Tecumseh High School.
She was employed with Faith 7 Activity Center.
Alisha was a member of Living Love Christian Center and the Tecumseh Alumni Association. She participated in the Special Olympics and particularly enjoyed the bowling competition.
She loved being with her friends at Faith 7 and the Tri-County Challengers baseball team. She also enjoyed playing softball, basketball, bowling, coloring and following scriptures in the Bible. She loved Jesus and watched the Passion Play constantly.
She loved watching musicals and comedies and listening to music, especially listening to her church music. She had a keen since of fashion, always wearing sunglasses, caps and carrying her purse, which was full of pictures of her family and friends. Alisha was very active and loved all her family and friends. "Boo" had a contagious laugh that would make the whole world laugh with her.
Alisha is preceded in death by her grandparents, T. J. and Lois Ramey; and uncle and aunt, Daniel and Laura Ramey.
Those left to cherish her sweet memory are her mother, Sylvia Barton of the home; one sister and brother-in-law, Caria and David Kennedy of Tecumseh; three uncles and one aunt, Tommy and Linda Ramey, Milton E. Ramey and Donald R. Ramey, all of Tecumseh; one nephew, Caden Kennedy of Tecumseh; and many cousins, friends and family.
Visitation will begin 9:00 a.m., Thursday, April 14, 2011. Family will gather to meet with friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday.
Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2011, at Living Love Christian Center, 1000 North Kennedy, Shawnee, with Pastor Mark Guinn officiating.
Burial will follow at Gable Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
