WILLIAM THOMAS BANKS
1940 - 2005
William Thomas"Tom"Banks, age 74, was born on August 10, 1930, in Sparks, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Tuesday, February 22, 2005, in Shawnee, Oklahoma.Tom was the son of Will E. and Melva Holt Banks.He served in the United States Coast Guard during the Korean conflict.Tom worked as an oilfield pumper.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Minnie and one son, Johnathan Banks.Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Wayne Clark of Chandler, Oklahoma; one son, Thomas Banks of Iowa; one step-son, Dan Parks of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends.Mr. Banks may be viewed at Parks Brothers Funeral Home, 617 Manvel, Chandler, Oklahoma, on Wednesday, February 23, 2005, from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 24, 2005, at New Zion Cemetery, Chandler, Oklahoma with Pastor Johnny Miller officiating.Services are under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, Oklahoma.
