OLETA LORAINE BANKS
1918 - 2005
Oleta Loraine Duncan Banks was born on December 9, 1918, near Sparks, Oklahoma and departed this life on Saturday, June 11, 2005, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 86.
Oleta, the daughter of Johnny Edward and Iona Booth Duncan, was a resident of Prague.
She married Andrew Evans Banks on March 16, 1935 in Shawnee.
He preceded Oleta in death on July 12, 1995.
Oleta was a resident of Lincoln County all of her life, a member of the Prague Holiness Church and loved to quilt.
Her parents; two brothers, James Edward Duncan and Donald Joe Duncan; and her son in law, Kenneth W. Fowler also preceded Oleta in death.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald Andrew and Connie Banks of Hereford, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Sue and Levoy Dukes of Prague; Melva RosaLea Fowler of Prague; Cheryl Ann and Dean Lee of Paden; brother and sister in law, Bill and Reba Duncan of Norman; sisters and brothers-in-law, RosaLea and Elmer Searcy of Shawnee; Ina Zae and Lee Boswell of Clearwater, Florida; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Pastor Stephen Green officiating.
Interment will follow at Kellerby Cemetery in Lincoln County under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
