MARY BAKER
1938 - 2009
Mary Ramsey Baker went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at the age of 71 years.She was born on October 4, 1938 in Norfolk, Virginia, to Charles Edward Ramsey and Marie Olive Rice Ramsey.Mary is survived by her husband of fifty one years, Richard Olan Baker of the home; six children, James "Jimbo" Ramsey and wife Lawanna of Perkins, Oklahoma; Julius "Festus" Richard Baker of Meridian, Oklahoma; Marvin "Corndog" Enoch Baker of Cushing; Linda Sue "Sis" Tinni and husband James of Stillwater; Charlie Lee Baker of Cushing; Don "Pooh" Baker of Edmond and stepson, and Ricky Darrel Baker of Parkland.She was blessed with six grandchildren, Eric, Jace, Jamie and Jackson Rramsey, Billy "Billy Jack" Ray White and Virginia Louise "Jenny Boom Boom" Baker; eight siblings, best friend and sister, Margaret "Aunt Maggie" Watkins and her husband Max of Agra; Freda Craig of Charlottesville, Virginia; Josie Walker and friend Harold Thomas of Yale; Dale Ramsey and wife Shirley of Chandler; Bob Ramsey and wife Joline of Rocksprings, Wyoming; Chuck Ramsey of Cushing; Bill Ramsey of Cushing and Sylvester "Sig" Ramsey and wife Pam of Senica, Missouri.Mary was also loved by and loved her seven step-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and special friends Crystal Cork and Yvonne Day and other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by both parents and one sister, Rosie Cox of Cushing.All the food and support of the community and friends were very much appreciated. The family would like to thank Judith Karmen Hospice and Crystal Cork for all their love and support in the care of our beloved "mama", "Nanny Poosky", "Sister" and "Aunt Mary". She will be cherished and live in our hearts forever!Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Davis Memorial Chapel.Burial will follow in the Parkland Cemetery.Serving as casketbearers will be Derick Watkins, Daniel Watkins, Jeff Ramsey, Charlie Ramsey, David Cox and Troy Day.You may share your condolences with the Baker family at www.davisfh.net.Services are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home.
