1937 - 1998
Moore resident Charles L. "Charlie" Baker died Saturday in Oklahoma City. He was 61.He was born August 4, 1937, in Ponca City to Joe and Goldie Day Baker.He married Colleen Wisley in Oklahoma City on December 13, 1997.Baker was a member of the Hiram Lodge of the Masonic Lodge, the India Shrine Temple and was a director of the India Shrine Clowns. He was also a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union No. 114 and was employed with the Workers Union as an electrician.Survivors include his wife, Colleen Baker, of the home; son, Mike Baker of Prague; daughters, Teri Mosley and Traci Blumenauer, both of Prague; stepsons, Tony Wisley of Skiatook and Rick Wisley of Seminole; stepdaughter, Vodonna Leeson of Seminole; brother, Ernie Baker of Moore and several grandchildren, as well as numerous friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, Prague, with the Rev. Herman Searcy officiating.Burial will be in the Prague Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Prague.Published August 22, 1998.
