SELMA A. ANDERSON
1925 - 2008


Selma A. Quinn Anderson went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday evening, April 11, 2008, at the age of 82 years.
The daughter of the late Arley Quinn and Esther Mason Quinn, Selma was born on May 23, 1925 in Meeker, Oklahoma and was reared and educated in the Arlington and Prague area.
She was united in marriage to Dan Anderson on May 23, 1950 and to this union, seven children, Charles, Don, Doris, Joyce, Martha, Cecil and Ted were born. Dan preceded Selma in death on October 21, 2001.
She was a longtime member of the First Assembly of God Church in Stroud.
She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; quilting, reading and working puzzles.
Selma is survived by three daughters, Doris Anderson of Gulfport, Mississippi; Joyce Flo and her husband Kenneth of Dallas, Texas; and Martha Fischer and her husband Eric of Oklahoma City; four sons, Charles “Danny” Anderson, Don Anderson and Cecil Anderson all of Milfay, Oklahoma; and Ted Anderson and his wife Lisa of Dallas, Texas; seven grandchildren, Celeste Dunigan, Chad Halstead, Sara Rife-Taylor, Joshua Fischer, Taylor Anderson, Brandon Anderson and Jordan Fischer; four great-grandchildren, Aeron Rife-Taylor, Idashua Rife-Taylor, Zachary Rife-Taylor and Caleb Halstead; two brothers, Cletis Quinn of Prague; and Coy Quinn of Indianapolis, Indiana; several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Eula Liness Rich, Vida Wight Murphy, Wilma Sanders and Phyllis Quinn, and four brothers, Lynvil Quinn, Troy Quinn, John Benton “BJ” Quinn and Cecil Quinn.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at 11:00 am in the First Assembly of God Church in Stroud, Oklahoma with Reverend Jeromye Jackson and Reverend Don Wilburn, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Stroud Cemetery.
The family will greet friends in the Floyd Family Center, east of the Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
